For many days now a number of people have speculated the tool has been either in a broken state or otherwise disabled. Except by working fine, it’s still only showing data from January 2007 :)
Even though the data is old it still makes my job a lot easier when working on keyword estimates for new campaigns. Perhaps there was a enough backlash from the SEM community that they brought this tool back? Who know’s.
