Yahoo owned MyBlogLog is now requiring users to sign in with their Yahoo! account. Not everyone wants to make the transition or is finding it easy to do so. Bye, bye MBL!

It’s a slight irritation but I find the privacy aspects of this not particularly weighty.  Anyone who really wants to find out information online won’t find it too hard to make the linkages.

Bwelford, that is correct. Privacy isn’t easy to disguise and Yahoo! already has a lot of my important information. I’m much more bothered by not being able to link the accounts as I tried to do this  three times and failed. I weigh convenience as the higher of the two priorities.

Jill: It happened last Thursday or Friday. If you haven’t signed out yet, you’ll be okay until then. If you do sign out, you’ll be asked to link your Yahoo! account with MBL or to create a new one.Andy: Yes, in honor of my most recent birthday, I think a dinosaur is most appropriate!

I don’t know that I’m worried about the privacy.  I’m more concerned with the fact it’s a royal PITA.  And it’s friggin’ annoying as all hell.

I hear ya, SEOhack. I still can’t retrieve my Yahoo! information any way. So, why bother with MBL?
