A short but sweet post from Lyndon that rings sooooooo true. So often I come across people who focus entirely on going ’hot’ with a post or getting tons of traffic, without considering whether it will generate links. Link building ain’t about traffic, it’s about encouraging quality links from reputable sources.

Anyway, thought it deserved a ’hell, yeah’ from me.

True true. Social media bookmarking has had the side-effect of some webmasters taking their eyes of the ball when it comes to what their actual goals are. Success shouldn’t be measured in Digg front pages but in what that content actually achieved for the long-term benefit of your site.
