Google hates the long tail when selling Adwords, we all know that. We can exact match our way down to 0.05 bids and drive lumps of qualified traffic. It will be felt quickly if this "clusters" searches around suggest choices, nipping the tail off much earlier.
This is a new development on Google..I just hope it will turn out the best for everyone.
