I’ve been spending a lot of time studying SEO / SEM or search engine marketing and search engine optimization. I have read SEOBook and was preparing to start a by-the-rules “Whitehat” SEO and marketing campaign. But I just discovered something very interesting that I had to share. I was reading SEOMOZ which had a link to Shoemoney, one of my favorite sites about marketing. He posted something about Matt Inman, one of my inspirations for starting a dating site, which was disheartening but also an important lesson — marketers need to keep some secrets. Another quote from later in the article reads ““At the end of the day it did more harm than good discussing publicly such effective tactics.” So I am not going to be publicizing what works for me, (...and now...) I think it would be hypocritical to imply that I am strictly whitehat.
