As search bloggers, are we doing enough of that? Are we going out and finding the rare pieces or are we relying too heavily on the A-listers? Do you leave your feed reader and hunt for new voices or do you just spend your entire day in there?

Not to butter up some of the top presenters here, but I’ve really been happy with most of the A-list material I’ve seen on Sphinn. I suppose I am a hybrid SEO (part local business owner, part webmaster, part marketer, and many other parts) but I’ve heavily relied on the material this community presents, rather than seek much SEO stuff out on my own.

I find it odd that the original post and despite double-digit sphinns, no one is actually stating which blogger they read.  The original post should’ve kicked off a list of obscure or unknown blogs.

I think Lisa has a point, and I’m attempting to develop a system whereby I get the quality new or overlooked bloggers on my sites and in my communities more play. I submit them more often to SU, but not to Sphinn. I think I don’t feel as "qualified" since I haven’t been search-centric for the last year.

Sophie Wegat recently posted a link on her blog to an article she’d read at a blog called FreeLance Switch. I’d never heard of this site before, but when I followed her link, I thought this was the funniest, most astute post I’d read all year. I’ll put the link in case anyone wants to read their post about 12 Breeds of Clients. It was seriously on-target and amusing:http://freelanceswitch.com/clients/12-breeds-of-client-and-how-to-work-with-them/ I added this site to my feed after reading the above, and I’ve seen some other good little posts on there...offering some consolation and understanding about what’s involved in being a freelancer.

I’ve compiled a list of blogs that I read that maybe others don’t - but I don’t think this spot is worthy of posting them since neither the original blogger Lisa nor any subsequent commenters have shared at all...

I think the web is becoming a fragmented bulletin board of syndicated posts, and blogs are just not very important any more. Readers, Sphinn-like aggregators... they’re replacing the blog as publisher.

Please do share that list, Tim. Finding new stuff to read always is a good excuse for not doing something that feels like working ;)

Gee, can you imagine aspiring to be on the "no one else reads my blog" list? Not me!

I’m willing to share my Google RSS reader export with people if it may be of value.  Of course I’ll have to remove a couple things first ;)

So in this scenario, does Cream always rise to the top?

I posted this in the blog comments, but I have to wait for them to be approved...I’ll break the ice to answer Lisa’s question with SEOlogs.com ( http://www.seologs.com/ ). SEOLogs is owned by Badi Jones, who also owns dnScoop.com.I have some other opinions on this subject, but they are in my comments. There is no need to duplicate them here.

Well, I guess I’ll put myself out there as the "no one else reads my blog." I only get about 50 - 60 hits a day, and 60 - 70 subscribers. So, I do have readers out there, just not an A-Lister. More like a Z-Lister at the moment. ( http://www.seo-factor.com )

It’s great to see at least a few SEO blogs suggested here, please post more. We are happy to review them for the weekly BIGLIST update every Friday at Online Marketing Blog. While we purge anywhere from 20-60 blogs from the list per month, the total count is hovering around 400. Certainly there are more than a few undiscovered gems in that list.

I still read SEOLoser, although it doesn’t look many others do.  Also, nobody reads my blog, but I read it daily ;-)

Maybe Sphinn needs the equivalent of a DiggNation podcast, not just to discuss the week’s top stories, but also to highlight the stories that the Sphinn admins/Danny believe deserve more love.

Well, I do the Daily SearchCast each day, a round-up of top search news, and I do look at Sphinn for some of the stuff I cover on it.

Darn! I was hoping for a list of bloggers Bruce Clay reads that no-one else does.   I love blogs that hightlight both well knowns and unknows.

I’m with SEOFactor - no one reads my blog either but me and maybe some of my friends. LOL. Well, I did get Jill Whalen to comment on a post once - so maybe there is hope for me yet. www.creativemindsearchmarketing.com
