This sounds like something the guys in the black helicopters would say to you after the remove the flying object from your field, "It was just swamp gas". Instead the guys at DMOZ got their heads together yesterday with a team of Google engineers and decided that having your home page disappear from the index was just "part of an index recognizing, adjusting and updating in real time"

So we are lead to believe that adjusting from the non-www or the www, or Google will dump your home page while they figure it out. I don't think so.

There were at least a dozen ways (domains/subdomains)  to get to the ODP content.  When the canonical fixes were applied, one way was missed and Google got completely confused by that.

The number of pages indexed for www.dmoz.org has more than doubled in the last two weeks, while the number of listed URLs for the other formats and variations has mostly been falling.
