Weddings = Beddings at Mahalo ;)
This gave me a little giggle this morning. I am easily amused. ;)
I'm working on a clients church and wedding services site, and needed to clarify 'Bridezilla' - so I dutifully 'googled' it. The Mahalo Follow sidebar slide open alongside theGoog, and both displayed much the same- something about a TV show (never heard of it - sorry)
I navigated back to the site I was working on - with the sidebar still open...
...and then I giggled when I saw the results that were laid out before me.
I'm curious, so I scrolled to the bottom of the sidebar to see what keywords were being used:
"Mahalo Follow used these keywords: services, wedding, christian, officiant, church, calistoga, nondenominational, multicultural, unique, offering, center, our, why, salvation, free, here, ministry, photos, need, home"
All good, all relevant to the page I was on at the time, nothing unexpected there.
So, what were these 'giggle-inducing' results?
The Mahalo Follow sidebar was stuffed full of information about 'Bedding' (sheets, pillows, shams, etc.)
Get it? Wedding.....Bedding....tee-hee.
- hey - I SAID I was easily amused. ;P

cute :-)
it's beta software. right now it's "learning" about websites. over time it will be able to look at the keywords it sees across the web and various sites and learn to leave out certain words. While this is happening our dataset at Mahalo is growing. This means our keyword understanding of the page will get better and our data set wider at the same time, which will make the results better and better.
Mahalo for trying to Mahalo Follow!
best j
I understand, and I'm not fussin - it IS relevant after all. I mean, if you're going to have a wedding - you're probably going to have Bedding too - right? ;)
