Danny makes great points in his Advertising Age - Digital article of how SEO is like public relations for search engines, a near and dear topic: "Ignoring SEO is like doing an ad campaign without a PR push alongside."

He also closes it up quite nicely: "Sure, you can ignore SEO. But you can bet your competitors won’t."

What’s best about this article is it shows what SEOs on Sphinn have talked about. Here is Danny guest writing for another site, promoting the industry in a positive light, promoting himself, and getting a link to his site, all in under 500 words. Great template model to follow.

As a former PR practitioner, this was right down my alley.  It’s been an interesting battle getting former co-workers and friends in the PR industry to "get" what I do.  Unfortunately, a lot of PR practitioners and marketers see SEO as one more thing taking precious dollars away from their own firms.
