well this is either :a) server error - we cant find one at the moment but not ruled outb) Google penalty - Matt Cutts passing this to crawl team .. option c ??c) Google crawl issuesDaveN
I shouldnt have joke about chrome eating my camel I guess ;(
Oh Please! As much as Google dumps upon blogs, this so much rumor-mongering.
I dont think Google devalued blogs yet but sooner or later will. Its always been that way. As soon as a medium works too well Google will curb it. Its been the case with forums, shopping search engines, article directories, press release sites.
For the record, and to be fair. Matt Cutts posted the following comment under the current article on DaveN blog: <div class="comment_list_hdr alt">3. Matt Cutts | September 15th 2008 @ 3:56 pm</div> <div class="comment_list_text"> I mentioned this post to the crawl/indexing team, so they may check it out–thanks for mentioning this. </div>
One seorefugee member found his blog indexing issue to be related to the switch to adsense for feedburner. (see http://www.seorefugee.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10624) Perhaps this will help at least some folks track down their problems.
We still like blogs, I promise.
It is nice to know that Google still likes blogs since they have Blogger and have the Follow this Blog feature, and other ways to promote blogs. Several blogs carry Google advertising. It seems that Google would not want to bite the hands that help feed it.
Are blogs on the blogger platform indexed quicker that Word Press or typepad?Jay
@JayMatt Cutts has said before that pages hosted on google owned domains are not indexed any quicker than other domains.
Thanks DarkMatter for the answer...
This doesnt teach myself or anyone else anything except for the fact that a given site is having indexing problems.
I also heard Google doesnt like news sites anymore that support Obama.
