<font size="-2">Last week on NPR’s "On The Media", </font>James Surowiecki ("The Wisdom of Crowds") discussed the United Airlines outdated bankruptcy story and subsequent stock price plummet. Regarding all the automated trading that led to the stock fall, he said, "You know, there probably weren’t that many human beings actually making a decision, and had there been more human beings actually thinking, I think it probably would have turned out better."Meanwhile, the Google News homepage continues to state in its footer, "<font size="-2">The selection and placement of stories on this page were determined automatically by a computer program." Surowiecki’s talking about automated trading, but I’d say his comment applies equally to the aggregation of information.</font>

The July 11 On the Media also talked about Scroogle and some other little IP masking tricks, I love NPR.  Anyways, I too found some sketchy Google article problems regarding dates.
