Id say content for users, people, not search engines. The tendency of overestimating value of search engines make us forget about why we build the site. We want people to visit us. Search engines are means for our site visiblity. But if we disappoint people, we loose our whole efforts of building and doing all kinds of optimizations.
@monitits, Dude. SEO hasnt got anything to do with the users. Its about links, and maybe a few dozen on page factors that a monkey could figure out. That is all. The only cavaet to that is that the easiest way to GET links is to either write good stuff, be really clever, or to be really evil.
On point.
This is a very informative and enlightening post..great find Shana!
Good point Dude. Im afraid I have to confess to being very evil.
hi @emonk, I always like to pint out to this funny example of how google should be optimized for google :) http://www.meangene.com/google/design_for_google.html. I am sure you may have seen it. But what it means is if we provide an excellent user experience, SEO rules become really funny and nonesense. Why are all the links pointing to my site, if I dont get business out if it, right?
