Catch the guy that got ‘sphinned’ for telling how he used nepotism (love bait) to get attention to write another Sphinn-able post? (Andy Beard love-in)  That journey was worth my time….  Ugh…

I actually enjoyed the Spammer that made up 40+ Diggs.. er.. uh… I mean ‘Sphinns’ 

Am I the only one that gets any of this?

Gypsy: amen yea and amen, but what I won't buy is your "we're getting ridiculous": As if all this social media and Web 2.0 stuff weren't perfectly ridiculous from its very inception. Like most simple minded concepts are. LOL

Must've been about 3 years back now when I wrote about bloggers blogging about blogging - and you call this wonderful piece of cynical irony (yeah: it's actually quite sarcastic and sardonic all bundled up as well) "nepotistic"? I mean, have any of these sites actually ever been anything else? It's inherent in the very term "social", isn't that obvious? Which makes nepotism an utter pleonasm.

Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes from Jorge Luis Borges: "Language is a system of quotations." Then again: Isn't all life, really?

However, from a monetization point of view they're actually making things ridiculously easy - Blogrush it may not be, but a goldrush it undeniably is: With the suckers picking up the tab, as always.

So onward brave SEOs - sell them the shovels! :)

One might have assumed "education about SEO techniques" and "reading important news about the industry", but the education side is only a small part of what appears to go on, and most of the "news" is self-important, or as you say "blogging about blogging about blogging".

There were 42 posts about blogrush here, just a few days ago.   

As of now, the search feature here finds only 38. Maybe someone did NtF a few?

1. Make a Beautiful community.

2. Talk about Beautiful community.

3. Talk about people talking about the Beautiful community.

4. Repeat step 3 five thousand times.

5. Dead community.

Let's try to keep it in Step 1 ;)

yes, it is true, I do "wuv" Jill!  no kinda' sorta' about it!  ;) But not in a creepy, stalk-you-in-the-rain-and-stand-outside-your-bedroom-window-with-a-boombox-over-my-head kind of "wuv".  It's more of a hey-you're-cool-and-thank-you-for-good-advice kind of "wuv". =)
