SNIP - I’m guilty as anyone else at the above infractions of SU review courtesies; however, I have seen the error of my ways and have started to put more thought and effort into my stumbling. Why? Because SU is social. If I’m going to join into the social circle of SU, I need to do more than stand against the proverbial wall and give a thumbs up or down. I need to join in the conversation and really share what I think. Not only that, but many site owners do not get much in the way of comments from SU visitors. Sometimes this is because there is no way for SU visitors to comment. Other times is due to laziness on the stumbler’s part. By leaving a thoughtful comment in the SU reviews, site authors can view those remarks when they click through their referrers.

Thanks for the Sphinn theGypsy. It really surprises me how many people do not take advantage of the social features of SU. It is by far, my favorite way to discover new sites and people. This is particularly true when I’m looking for contacts in a particular niche. While my post is very much a rant, I hope it encourages others to make better use of the features of SU.
