During SMX last week, I did a series of posts that discussed what I believe to be the top five mistakes in affiliate marketing which culminated with this post, which I believe is the biggest barrier to success in affiliate marketing: Only Wanting the "Thrill of the Chase".

Neat Read! But, this syndrome doesn’t exist with just the Affiliate Marketing bunch, but with almost every web industry niche out there! The problem is that we all have the "energy" for those nitty-gritties at the start, but eventually run out of steam and energy..

Don’t quit while in the dip! I guess the trick is to make it more painful to quit once you realize that all the hard work and the all nighters will have been for nothing if you never follow a project through. It takes a bit - ok maybe a lot of mental preparation to be ready to stick things out when results don’t come quickly. But it’s definitely worth it especially if you’re willing to learn from your mistakes and put that knowledge into action on the next project as opposed to jumping from one project to the next without learning from having succeeded or failed at a later stage.Sound advice that applies to almost anything in life - no one ever succeeded by quitting on a project! Once you do that it’s over.Well done!
