yes, it does
I remember an InternetWorld event in the 1990s where some company hired actual Raiderettes to work the booth. Many people around it at all times.
I wonder how the BusinessWeek Business Exchange (Duct Tape author) ads on Sphinn are doing...
And I need a new avatar...
Yes it does! And I'm glad that it does :p
It helps if the Booth Babes have a brain and can actually talk to attendees. If you can find one with those qualities it's gold.
The line has to be drawn somewhere, so far it looks alright ..I am not complaining ...
I have found that the best strategy is to have intelligent men and women who can explain your products benefits to customers. Booth babes are like big candy jars, they attracts visitors, but not sales. Do the metrics on it.
@ seobro: Ah... but to get them there for the "intelligent men and women" to explain your products. Lets face it, those who can do both are few and far between (I'm certainly no George Clooney myself).
As the old saying goes, "you catch more flies with honey than you do vinegar."
i think all this "seo rockstar" stuff is bullshit, there are tons of people that are good out there that arent famous, this shit is easy, you just need to be smart, creative and be a good writer. the more multi talented the better, alot of it is hype and most people at these conferences are VICTEMS of the very marketing they support, in the words of reddit, sheeple.
cornwall has earned it though, because he actually calls himself a "writer" instead of "seo" what the hell is and SEO anyway? if i had any dignity i would never call myself an SEO, its synominous with spammer sometimes.
sorry for the spelling errors, victims
