It was not aware of this until I noticed it in your post. Some of the behaviors of people inside these big directory companies is deplorable. Has been lots of talk around here about SEOs with no ethics and horrible service, sales reps for some of these yellow page companies can easily be on that list.None that have ever come to my office had suspected I have any knowledge of SEO. Small-business owners should be doing everything they can (that includes having their own SEO personnel or teams) to combat the online efforts of these directory behemoths.

The good news is that in the IYP space it looks like there are only a handful of companies that are doing this.  The bad news is that I imagine there are a number of companies that are not as high on the radar doing this.
