Sphinn users can now notify the moderators when you find spam. Just use the Contact form:
http://sphinn.com/contact.php
and be sure to choose "Report Spam" from the dropdown. When you do this, your email will be sent to the entire team of moderators. Given that we have people scattered across the globe, theres a good chance someone will be able to take care of it pretty quickly. And that keeps Sphinn a more enjoyable place for everyone.
Thanks. Now back to your regularly scheduled Sphinning.

By the way, that Contact page is also linked down in the lower right corner of the Sphinn footer. Please use it when you see junk posted here. Thx!
Good to know... but I think it would be nicer to have a "Report as Spam" option directly from the post, even if it simply links to the contact form.
As I recall, that feature is also coming soon. :)
Great, another helpful feature from Sphinn :)
Just add a Report link on every post ffs. Is that so difficult? Or put a phone number so we can call to make it really enjoyable to report spam. I bet this site was coded on rentacoder.com with Indian support for like ... 20$ or smth. I still get parse errors in out of beta era, every now and then! And spare me with the YOU ... YEAH YOU ... can work for me for free slogan.Say it like this. Make itll sound less Uncle Sammy.
Always good to hear Matt... to be honest, if there was a Report Spam button prominent, I likely wouldnt have rambled on about Sphinn Spam the other day. I really wouldnt have thought to look on the contact page. Do you think that will work?I am prolly just lazy and accustomed to looking for a report spam link.... I hope this method works out... so I figure that upcoming feature would work best :0) added; whats with the span tags?
Im glad to read the button will be in the posts where I can remember it when I come across the spam. Im afraid Im too old to remember that, some time long ago, on this particular social network site, I read a note telling me to find important stuff in the footer.
Whens the "Dumbass" button showing up per Gregs suggestion? Im not reporting spam until I can also label crap. =)
Hey Matt.... reported some earlier this afternoon and apparently it was nuked and the support team responded to let me know - Kudos ...
I see this in the comments:Hey Matt ... reported some earlier this afternoon and apparently it was nuked and the support team responded to let me know - Kudos ... and my first thought is what has Matt Cutts been up to now... and then I see the thread title... Pfffft.
@theGypsy - we got a few emails today, all very helpful. @g1smd - Ill always be Matt #2 (at best!) as long as Im in this industry. Or until Matt #1 leaves Google for the World Poker Tour or something. :)
Matt#2, Is there any special keyword we should use in our spam reports? :)
Wouldnt comments such as the above be classified as spam???Matt McGee never put yourself second behind anyone. Rememeber Matt C is a google employee / puppet, whom, if he did not work for Googles spam team, we would likely never knew existed.I have a lot of respect for people in the search marketing world who learned as much as possible to make themselves a success. Being lucky in getting a job and a title handed to you does not mean you know much about the subject.....
"Being lucky in getting a job and a title handed to you does not mean you know much about the subject....."Someone is mad Matt C got the job...If you can get that job at such a high profile then dont you think that they would need to know something about it?
