So, once you're ranking well and you DO get a great job, what do you do with all that traffic..perhaps divert it to an affiliate program where you can take advantage of the referrals?

Continue to build your reputation and netwok, because you never know how long the company you work for will be around, when it will be acquired, or a bigger and better opportunity or project comes up.

I agree. Keep optimizing forever. You shouldn't even be thinking about it in terms of results. It's a way of living. Fighters fight - SEOs optimize.
