As I am not new to flame wars and cat fights I really feel like its 1997 again. I wrote the guy the nasty reply he deserves.

Yep...you definitely have the biggest white hat on Sphinn:.)
LOL - Doug again: the preacher man of poor white hat trash.Good linkbait, maybe, Tad, but really below your level. Then again, why are you slandering me - claiming youve been been "bashed by basically everybody out there": Dont recall ever having bashed you. So are you saying Im a nobody?Or that you want me to start off bashing you now? ROFLThats Web 2.0 for you, yeah: Narcissus and his Web Mirror...
Perhaps Doug is still upset that I didnt accept his offer to join forces with him to "rid" me of his "pesky" IHY folks: http://www.threadwatch.org/node/8828#comment-44736
This is classic... I love the threadwatch link Danny!
See what a nefarious black hat you are at heart, Danny? Takes a Doug Heil to expose you SEO gangsta man! LOL
Sugarraes latest post has some Doug Heil gone wild comments: http://www.sugarrae.com/google-doesnt-know-the-face-of-evil/
he should change his name to Buried Heil.is this thing on?(thanks....Im here all week!)
I have to admit, Mr. Hell has created a new angle to link baiting...piss them off and theyll link back to him.Ok, lets add a new one of these mystery "hats" to our industry:Whitehat = FollowersGreyhat = LeadersBlackhat = Risk Takers(new one)Douchehat = http://www.ihelpyou.com/forums/member.php?u=1
Yer just downright evil Danny. And I mean that in a good way (which is how I know youd take it being the dark arts master of SEO after all ;)
As interesting at this little tid bit was, I simply wont sphinn anything about sphinn. It just defeats the whole purpose in my mind.
@Gamermk: Hey, what do you think all these social networking bookmarking web 2.0 community folksonomy wisdom of the crowd swarm intelligence sites are all about in the first place? Now live up to your duty and sphinn, dammit! LOL (Voted for your comment, too, see?)
lol That was an amazing question. I think Social Media sites are about collectively deciding what is important. I dont feel that sphinning discussion about the site that Im already on is important because guess what... Im already here!!! Im not against promoting Sphinn on other sites, it just is so ridiculous to do it here.Talking about Sphinn on Sphinn is like a Splash Page to a Website. Stop getting in the way of my content already!!!
Danny is the new Dr. Evil and Im Mini Me!
That dude makes me sick!
ROFL
Gosh. These flame wars are almost as fun as the ones on knitting email lists!Point of interest though: Should people start threatening defamation lawsuits, its worth being aware of a California Supreme Court ruling (which of course only applies in California.)http://volokh.com/posts/1164065245.shtml by a UCLA law professor begins like this:"The California Supreme Court just held, in Barrett v. Rosenthal, that Internet users who post (to Web sites or discussion groups) material created by others are immune from liability."Blah, blah, blah... and continues"A long line of cases had already held that when a user posts material on a site, the operator of the site (or of the computer), cant be held liable, even when its notified of the potentially tortious nature of the activity. Thus, for instance, we wouldnt be liable for libels posted in our comments" And etc. Im not a lawyer, but a)I think information posted by Eugene Volokh of UCLA whose specialty is First Amendment issues is probably better than Wikipedia.and b) I think Volokhs post would basically mean that Heil could not prevail if he sued the blogger for what was posted in comments. The only person who could possibly be guilty of defamation would be the person who commented. That said, Id probably close down comments after Heil posted his silly threat. If someone files a suit, responding will cost money. Who wants that?
That reply wasnt nasty, it was stupid. You pick on Dougs spelling and then go off into typo and bad grammar laced rant about others being disrespectul while doing the same hypocritical thing.Maybe next time youll think twice before going off on a tirade that sounded like something you would normally hear in a 3rd grade schoolyard squabble as it makes you look bad if your customers or potential customers ever read that garbage.
