In terms of branding I can see that spelling errors can make a company look bad but in terms of CTR Ive run tests where an ad with a misspelling peforms better that the corrected version.
Oh John H Gohde, youre so much fun!
There are a handful of seo bloggers who post top notch stuff, but I dont read them much due to horrible spelling and punctuation. I dont mind the occasional error, but some bloggers omit commas and even periods. Makes for some very annoying re-reading.Im not asking for perfection, just legibility.
We ALL know this already.
Oh John Gohde... youre so funny!:-)
Some of us may already know this already but it bears repeating, again and again, because so many still dont seem to get it. Saw a scary exchange on Twitter the other day when a big name in SEO blogging argued repeatedly for why spelling and grammar dont matter (I guess because it would be admitting a personal weakness if it did).So while this post presents nothing new, it is a topic that deserves revisiting. Were not anal pedants for insisting on good spelling and grammar any more than a mechanic is a pedant for making sure the parts of an engine are bolted together correctly. The car might still run, but it may not run as well or as safely.
We all know this already. Those with spelling problems do NOT need their noses rubbed into it any more than those with a low IQ need to be reminded by Mensa just how stupid they really are, over and over again. Why is it necessary to point out what should be plainly obvious to anyone with half a brain? But, I guess that some people just like to be rude.
Oh Brian Carter... youre so funny! Want to know why, Brian? You have misspelled the title of this sphinn.
Will the spelling police ever disappear. We already know this. Nothing news worthy in the least. Yeah, just try to tell me that winning is all about spelling.
