"As expected, Google has added an RSS feed for web search results to the Google Alerts service." - It’s going to be nice not having my inbox filled up with alerts anymore :).

A little disappointed in the implementation too.  Autodiscovery feeds would have been better.

No doubt the implementation which requires a login is to prevent scrapers from (too) easily scraping Google SERP results in "alert"-level realtime level onto their sites to subsequently monetize it through Adsense. Hmm... that would intrude a bit too much on teh GOOG revenue model :D :DAlthough logins are easy using the most common scraping / cleansing tools (Yahoo! Pipes, etc....)Rob
