There are Obama commercials on Nickalodean (cartoons for those without kids).. Why are they running political ads aimed at children??

link popularity=candidate popularity I can imagine how much easier for them to raise campaign funds through the internet then from traditional means. Last minute email alerts and feeds and profiles updates asking for $5, $20 in which someone can read and almost instantly send funds to the campaign that’s amazing.

Its all about obama on Youtube. If you look at the amount of people who visited his youtube publisher page over McCain its insane. His ability to capture the internet and use it to generate insane revenues is what enabled him to grow virally and gain the popular mass appeal.What a guy. Goes to show that the internet is going to play an even more important role in fund raising and overall marketing for any candidate for any future election.

It should also be noted that Obama only carried 4 points over what was Bush’s win in 04. So while there was much hype, even with his ability to fund raise, it wasn’t as big of a win as led to be believed by the Media. Yes the electoral college looked different but analyze the popular vote as well as how close it was in battleground and swing states and the picture is painted quite differently.
