I bet Taco Bell is more interested in selling Tacos? If you have got a REAL business, the virtual world is really not a top priority.  Cause the tacos that I print off on my color printer are cold and yuckie tasting!

Ok... Its funny - I especially like the kw " KUNG FU" made me laugh even if it is unimportant.Although I do recognize that tacobell existed before SEO and will exist long after it - I don’t think that they should ignore it - ignoring SEO could leave them open to a reputation managment issue whether it come from bad reviews or a targeted attack - they should take SEO a bit more seriously on their site and around the web in general.

Firstly, let me apologize about being a "wet sponge", I guess this really hits close to home. That said, it’s too easy to criticize "the big companies’" online seo efforts. Yes, improvements can be made, as with the Taco Bell example, but it’s not like the site is run by some guy in a basement who can upload files easily and make changes on the fly. The corporate environment is one where there are checks and balances, and lots of people (and stakeholders - vis a vis business decisions) involved. Some time may pass before any outward changes are made. As well, the application that is used may not be "seo friendly" to begin with.  Anyway, I cannot really assume anything, but I would invite SEOs to put the shoes on of an SEO who works within a big company, and then write a blog post about it. There is a lack of understanding and appreciation of what really happens in the offices of Corporate America.
