This is a must read for people that want to make a name for themselves within an industry or community. Recognize that it is about "contributions" to the community and the results you deliver. :)

TonyAdam,I totally agree. The most respected people in the SEO community aren’t the ones with the highest rankings or those who make the most money, it’s the people who contribute and help other people out. We know who they are.

"most respected" is a generalization. Thousands of people have joined seo this past year... earn the respect of the newbies and you win on popularity, but that doesn’t make you a good seo.it’s all business... some play to the crowd, some play to the clients, and some work the serps for a living. it’s all good... no need to bicker, eh?
