One of the resounding themes of this year’s PubCon was a short but profound question: What value are you adding? While it seems like an easy question, having a solid answer to the question can be the difference between success and failure for your site, and not just in the search engines.

Very good point, some people need to consider- what makes you unique, and what value are you adding via various channels?

Another thought that just occured to me is that a lot of times, the value you THINK you’re providing might not actually be what other people perceive as valuable. If you can make sure that your idea of value and your readers’ line up, you’ll be able to deliver that value on a much more consistent basis.
