Note: Apparently not everybody is seeing the new link counts.

I had a numerical discrepancy yesterday with Yahoo too, but on the PPC side. According to them I spent about a half a million dollars in the last 7 days... I maybe spend $150 a month in this particular campaign.
A few blood pressure pills later I e-mailed them to remind them that I did not in fact spent a half million dollars just so we are all agreed.
I got an email back saying that basically "yeah we know there's a lot of that going around today"

I started to notice this last week sometimes.  I have watched my site range from 600 - 6000 during the last few days.

http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=linkdomain%3Aseomoz.org+-site%3Aseomoz.org - still returning 1.07 million links for me. Site Explorer does fluctuate a bit - saw both the 1.3 number yesterday and now the lower numbers toady.

I do get 1.07 million links for SEOmoz so I think it'sa just doing a jig.

I mean, we all need to do a jig every once in awhile to clear the cobwebs and search engines are no different - get fit and all you know *winks*

Rustybrick showed in a post this morning how yahoo is now showing different results in site explorer based on being logged into verified accounts, this may just be something to do with the changes.
