Google keeps expanding, there’s no doubt about this. But more interesting is how each expansion allows them to handle an entirely different type of data(be it credit cards, cell phone contacts, or email contacts) that can be used to better classify their users. Data entering their servers is nearly impossible to avoid, even for those who don’t use Google. Can we be scared yet?

Can be compared to Microsoft’s data repository, which recently integrated member information into the Live search engine.

I’d agree it can be compared in concept, but the sheer scale of it is insaneeeee compared to MS. I never thought MS would be a monopoly I longed for.
