Brin revealed the 10,000 number and said, "It’s really high." According to the story, "He said Google began looking at the number six months ago and has a plan to significantly reduce that number through vendor management, converting some contractors to regular employees, and other approaches.So in other words, some of the 10,000 might not have their contracts renewed, some might stay as they are and some might actually be brought in-house. So not 1/3 of their staff being laid off at all.
They just got rid of all the Lively paid members.On another point Matt Cutts clains 5% Chrome Users.They could dismiss their customer service department. If there is one??Google fans remember Larry and Brin each own 757 commercial airliners.They also own a 767 wide body, and just bought a jet fighter.Meanwhile they tell us to buy Toyota hybrids.No evil??
Things are tuff stuff out there. Google shot themselves in the foot with the googleslap. Good luck getting those custemers back.
