One twist on this strategy that Chris didn’t mention is to actually target the term "Black Friday" or "Cyber Monday".  I posted about "Black Monday Shopping" last year and it’s been driving good traffic for the past few weeks:

We did similar to what Andrew mentioned and posted why chiropractors are closed on Black Friday. Nice flow of traffic and fun piece as well.
