With Yahoo’s CEO down, Microsoft’s going for Yahoo again, but this time they are interested only in Yahoo’s search business. And I guess they would be able to complete it smoothly this time.

Microsoft puts latest offer today to buy Yahoo Search for $20 bln. So how will this impact SEOs and search/internet marketing. We can now expect articles on how this would impact SEOs.I just fear how many backlink tools will go down if Yahoo Site Explorer stops reporting Inlinks.

$20 bln seem excessive given very strong Microsoft’s hand right now. There are very good alternatives that do not depend on YSE, you just need to look for them.
