Brian, no, according to Matt Cutts, the issues were:
- paid links to off-topic sites
- a contest encouraging people to link bomb the site

How people get riled up over $5/month courtesy of TLB/TLA/LW/PPP is a mystery to me. There are plenty of other ways to generate revenue.
