Google has slashed ad payments to web publishers by up to 90%, and even closer to 100% over the last 4 weeks. The online ad industry is going absolutely berserk, and many of them are basically going bankrupt because the Google ad revenue is no longer there, especially in the mortgage/finance/refinance keyword categories.

I don't doubt that the economy could cause them to miss estimates, but is 30% of their revenue made up from mortgage/real estate ads? Doubtful.

And for them to start a hiring freeze now while they obviously have spent billions and billions buying companies and building out infrastructure? Nope.

Sorry, we just built 1/2 a building and now we can't pay contractors to finish it or hire anyone to work there? Not likely.

I've seen the linked site before but I can't recall if it's supposed to be 1/2 BS (sarcasm) or if its just pure BS completely.
