Killer article from Brad Geddes on a highly speculated-upon topic.

"Landing page quality and natural search rankings are completely unrelated to each other.". Really? Try testing more on site optimization techniques on your landing pages and recheck the QS after a while. You may find some interesting facts.

traiann - the article talked about natural search rankings impacting ppc, not natural search practices helping qs.

A pages rank/placement in the natural results doesn't impact quality score at all.

I haven't seen how flash is actually posting links the swf files yet.  The one thing I have found as a problem with reading flash files is that most of the time people have the site framework then each flash page load seperatly while this is great for load times  the secondary swf can get indexed.  the problem with this is that if you go directly to one of these dynamically loaded files (let's say example.com/swf/pagecontent.swf) it might be dependent on global vars and thus not work.

@theseoguy Regarding this:

"most of the time people have the site framework then each flash page load seperatly while this is great for load times"

I actually thought that loading each page separately slows load times?
