We talk a lot about building user-friendly web sites and SEO-friendly web sites, and both of those are things we should be talking about because they’re vital to long-term online marketing success. But we don’t talk as much about building a site that plays well in social media. That’s a mistake.

"5. No ads, or the ability to disable ads on your pages."So if you’re a newspaper, can you ever be a truly social-friendly site?

A great post. Goes to show just how important social media is for success of a website.

I have to disagree with you, eWhisper. If social media sites and sites that are social media friendly need to get their ads stripped off, most of these sites will not survive.Newspapers and social media sites are two different things. You can’t decide which content to be published in the papers and you can’t interact with another person reading the newspaper via the newspaper. :)
