Matt’s blog is essential reading for our industry but I have to admit some of the comments bug me. Especially when I see people bashing SEO, answering technical SEO questions they really aren’t qualified to and the repetitive references to Google’s webmaster guidelines. But no more. With new Cuttlet Block (TM) you can ban or block users on Matt’s blog and never have to read them again.

Think of this as a Web 2.0. killfile ;)

The other feature we have thrown in there is the ability to show Matt’s replies only with one extra link at the start of the comments section.

People can use it as they like, happy to share.

You know I am used to seeing erroneous advice and SEO bashing, that type of is usually countered by more knowledgeable individuals. The thing that bothers me more than that are the webmasters who spam comments with questions about their indivudal sites. Anyone remember Susie?

Yes that can be equally annoying. This plugin was a little tonge in cheek, we were more interested in getting into Greasemonkey and I gave this to my guys as a quick test. I don’t want to mention any names but there is one regular commenter who I have happily blocked and it’s pretty useful to quickly see Matt’s answers when you have 120 comments on the post. Got to love this Web 2.0. eh?
