Well, this is pretty much going to throw a wrench in the works of rank checking programmes and anything that makes use of regular expressions. Sad face :(
*Should be noted that the comments section of that post show that most likely this is just a limited bucket test on several Datacenters.Nonetheless, the fact that Google is far enough into considering AJAX to launch a test like that, certainly should draw the attention of any rank providing company.

if you have SEO for firefox installed you will notice that it does not work in regular google.com - however if you create manual query urls you can step around the AJAX.
