Inconsistency doesn’t hurt your reputation as much as it affects your readership. A blogger isn’t suddenly unprofessional because they don’t post every day. That said, it is DEFINITELY a smart move to post regularly on a schedule because readers are people and people are creatures of habit. They like knowing what they can count on.

It does not really hurt your reputation as much as it does not help you build upon it. When someone has a blog that they publish to on a regular time table, it creates more interest to many. It creates a readers interest in what is coming next. But this can also be a negative, if someone posts just to make a post. A post for the sake of posting without any substance is more of a turn off to me than no post at all.

Posting on a regular time frame. That make since.. If you’re not posting on a regular basis then the readers will lose interest and stop coming.
