We dont do it on purpose, but the thing that seems to sell the most is actually pushing the potential client away. In other words, the more you say you dont want to work with them, the more they want to work with you.Not sure I agree with everything in this article, but the tip at the end was worth a sphinn.
@Jill - Ive observed that "pushing away" effect as well, but mostly with smaller, mid-tier clients that want me to consult (I dont actually take consulting jobs). But maybe I need to start using it with the Fortune 500 folks as well!
