1200 emails - were rich - 33% want a rolix, 33% viegra and the last 33% will want to help the son of a diplomet. Dont delay; forward the list and well split the fortune :)
I was on that list AND the 3 accidental replies with peoples email sigs; it looks like a bunch of email addys they gathered from SES/field reps back in the day. Nice one Miva/FindWhat/Whatever. I cant wait for the flood of unsolicited emails. PS: Now I remember why we stopped using them years ago.
On a related note, I went through much grief and work a few years ago in changing our default email address which Id been using since the 90s; it just got too much spam. Unfortunately, it meant that I had to track down every forum, newsletter, whatever subscription just to update my email address. Took me months. Luckily, Id kept track of most of the logins on a very long and messy 8 1/2 x 14" piece of paper. To keep from going through that (ever) again, I set up a bunch of email addresses to use for specific purposes, and noted which Id used in a spare address book. I even have a temporary email address for use with people I dont know. Now, if one lands on a spammer list, I can much easier swap it out for a new one.
"So what would you do with 1200 email addresses?" Id analyze the breakdown of emails on - Gmail - Yahoo - Hotmail - others So, how bout it? Ryan? Anyone? As long as you didnt disclose the addresses themselves, it would be interesting. :)
Commission Junction did the same just a few days ago.
