I agree that it’s nothing like it was when it was starting out... But, I think that Digg will continue to evolve in ways we can’t yet imagine, (the recommendation engine for example)... at least, until the next hot site comes along and everyone jumps on that wagon. I think it mainly has to do with advertising. I would be willing to bet that it’s the single driving force in the Newspaper industry... There is, as yet, no single social bookmarking estabishment that takes the ’Consumer Reports’ approach to content. Seems like there may be a bit of a political agenda working in the background too though, but that’s me tending to be a bit of a conspiracy theorist from time to time...

Sex sells.... jus’ ask Tucker Max. Finished his book and the site on the web. Doesn’t surprise me that so many people are resorting to shamelessness in this day and age. Jus’ look at YouTube. I’d say over half the tags having to do with sex are jus’ the attempt to get page views... sex jus’ sells...
