I was able to get the following information from Jen Burton at Digg about the possible problem, although they are still looking into the issue to determine the true cause: “I believe this situation is likely a combination of two factors: occasionally, the Chinese government blocks some sites which means we can’t crawl it as part of our submission process & we’re still making tweaks to our new dupe detection engine which may have a bug related to the time out process when digging through a submission.”

@SEOALY I get the point there.. However, I have seen so many really huge publications mispell, publish the same line twice, and even include a paragraph from a different story. This was not an affiliate offer or spam and regardless how you read the intro, the story was 99% about the links it provided. Also if more people took the time to actually vote on content, like they do come to a cat fight, then it would end up canceling stuff out ;)By the way.. for my entire life I will probably say Your instead of You’re.. just because I suck at writing :)@tamar ... sorry but respectfully disagree on professionalism for missing an edit. Even President Obama messing up his oath of office, people make mistakes.

It might be my opinion, and I didn’t sphinn this yet.. but no one has the right to tell me what to Sphinn or not Sphinn.. If I blind vote for every article on the upcoming page.. it is my right to do so, just like you have the right to desphinn. The wonderful thing about social is that a mass audience of people make those decisions. :)

@webgrafix There is always one comment like this everytime... If you don’t like the government leave the country, if you don’t like the rules.. quit. Not all of us can just leave, quit, and run everytime something is done with poor planning and unfair to a community. Reddit is open source and so is Pligg.. and some people make their own communities. In fact you can make your own communities on Mixx well before Reddit... but that is not the point of the article. :(

Tamar’s real name.... wait for it... is Tamar.. and she is a Moderator on Sphinn.So it would probably be good to listen and learn from her rather than debate and argue. It would also be cool if all sides would attempt to use the messaging system more and keep this off the threads. Thanks for all the comments though... :)
