Another problem that may arise from having an inhouse SEO trained, is that once they are trained, what is to keep them from staying. A company invests time and dollars to train and individual, who will also be able to keep the company at "ransom"..

Herding Cats..lol..As an SEO business owner, from my perspective, it does not makes sense for a business to invest time and money into developing inhouse SEO. We can do it for less than the cost of the salary of hiring staff to do it...seems like a no brainer to me...then you train these SEO’s and they have all the experience and they jump ship to someone who makes them a better offer...better develop an employee retention system while your at it.
