It is as funny as last year... Is it still hackable like last time? :D I think Ken of Epiar had found a loophole last year :D
I love SEOmoz and I really think that this person is just trying to cause harm for no good reason.
Are you sure there isnt more? 122 seems little.... hahaha just kidding ^^
It has been our most regular source of good social traffic for a while, mainly since Digg / Reddit have become a bit more complex and less forgiving for non-branded sites. It is by far the safest / boldest platform to use with non-branded websites!
@Wiep / @Michelle: Thanks guys - we will make sure only frequent users of sphinn end up voting for the stories so this wont happen again... I also found out what triggered the 15 votes in 30 minutes (a global email to the company about our newly published article!)++
Hey Wiep. Just letting you know that we dont have any suck puppet accounts - there is 45 employees at NVI and 20-25 of them have a sphinn account, so its normal to get 10-15 votes because everyone reads our blog at www.nvisolutions.com/blog. Sorry if you think we are cheeeeters -_-PS: We will try to vote from home, avoiding such issues :D
The only thing left to do is real benchmarking with 6 digits campaigns - I am not sure Google would appreciate very serious studies confirming those facts and coming out of that kind of reflexion :O
My call is that you can get the biggest clients in whatever industry if you worked for some of their local, national or international competitors and that youve proved them they have to hire you ;)
1st time I tried I got 4th. I have to get my progamer skills back from Korea.
Where is the part that talks about being a good friend of the founders? ;)
Couldnt believe someone who take time to write that. Desphinned for inaccurate.
I think that before buying any domain, you should ask for Google Webmaster Central access and look at the link portfolio as well, since GWC reports more links that Yahoo Linkdomain usually.
A good sales pitch for them: "Hey! Please buy this wonderful domain on which I will remove 95% of the links once you bought it!"
Its not like if they ever though of redirecting all of their URLs or thought about any interlinking done.AOL - that explains it (sorry, I love this sentence too much!)
AOL explains a lot of GREAT things lately - like Engadget amazing design (hah)
This news is a bit late, but again, I cant get used to the new Props :(
Hamlet is my new hero, I do like his tool alot! (and no, Im not being paid to say that!)
WebCEO has been a nightmare for us lately. We are thinking to switch to RankSense, which is much smarter / useful and was built by someone who understands SEO.
Story: It’s “Lights Out” for Google
Hey Neil. I think that you are right in the sense that a lower account will require far less diggs to hit the homepage. On the other hand, we have noticed that it is far easier to get a story buried now, and if you hit the homepage with a weak account, the chances to get buried by top diggers are a lot higher (from what weve seen). Kinda like if youd have partial immunity if your a top digger! On the other hand, if a top digger submits the story, and you can get enough votes for it (will be harder for sure), the chances to get buried, once it hits the homepage, seems to be lower (because a "respected" top digger wont get his story buried by other top diggers, even if the story is not awesome).Thats just my 2 cents - I recommend you vary; submit with weak, average and strong digg users to find what fits the best for you - I suppose the vertical market have a big impact on the bury side as well, as weve had harder situations with different niches.
