@everett- Thats the way it is for us. BUT in the long run were trying to add assests to push coupon sites and affiliates off page one, we rather not give up those marketing and margin dollars. Still a good idea for most smaller brands.
There was an SEO guy from Amex at our table at lunch today at SES NY. I asked him a few questions about some of these very things- apparently theyve had some turnover there and havent been able to get a lot of SEO traction in house. The word dabbling was used. I didnt have the heart to really press him any further- I chickened out in the name of cordiality.
Story: What Did Ask.com Really Say?
Ive read so many different things about Ask this week that I have no idea what the real plan is. Are they just going to serve ads and google search results? Are they not going to move forward with search? Thanks for letting me know Im not the only one confused. But in the end only 1.5% of my traffic comes from Ask as it is and its almost all PPC, so do I need to care what they plan to do?
Great propaganda. Our PR department has almost no interest in what we are doing in e-commerce. I am forwarding this as we speak.
