StumbleUpon is a great tool when used right. Nice little post to keep people aware of how to use it better by avoiding the mistakes pointed out.

This is one thing that most business owners don't understand. Call-to-action buttons should be selected based on conversion rates that can be derived from testing, not based on which one is the sexiest.

I think this kinda makes sense because I'm sure Google receives like tens of thousands of spam reports everyday. Nice share. :-)

Thanks for sharing this. Google Caffein has been getting a lot of buzz lately. Although it boasted that search queries will be done in a much faster and relevant manner, those of us who are working in the search engine optimization space must know something or two on how to optimize our sites for the new algorithm.

Nice submission. I think the tips can also be really useful for someone who are already in a saturated niche.

I also foresee business owners, companies, marketers and social media users going through the process of realization about what social media really is and how it could help them to utilize it as a better tool. Most people are jumping onto these platforms just because everybody is doing so. They need to understand the purpose of it and how to make it work for you and your business.

As always, when a topic is being discussed a lot, MYTHs appear just so people will listen to those "experts". Remember the whole duplicate content thingy? LOL

I have to disagree with you, eWhisper. If social media sites and sites that are social media friendly need to get their ads stripped off, most of these sites will not survive.Newspapers and social media sites are two different things. You can’t decide which content to be published in the papers and you can’t interact with another person reading the newspaper via the newspaper. :)

Even though you might already be the number 1 site in your niche, you are still required to work hard in order to maintain the position. The Internet is booming and we can see competition coming from all directions.

Expect a wider audience and broader participation in social media for Year 2009.

Most of the designs are moving towards the concept of minimalism and sleekyness. Web 2.0 I guess. Anyway, I love the MySpace redesign the most but profile customizations killed them.

Definitely a must read for marketers as some of these trends might just repeat in 2009 as well. Although it is not from Google, I think that the search data provided by most search engines covering Year 2008 will be almost the same.

I find it hard when I want to promote my affiliate sites using social media since I don’t really have ample knowledge about all the niches that I am in and thus, I end up outsourcing more of the efforts.Promoting a niche using social media is more than just writing articles over and over again. If people direct some specific or "deep" questions about the niche to you believing that you are the expert when you are not, you’re doomed. :)

This article has a great indirect impact for me. It shows me the direction I should choose and follow when it comes to social media participation. I have found my direction, yes it is clear, by reading this article on social media and I guess you should to in case you are trying to promote your site using these mediums.

One of the profound findings that I can see from the charts is that some social sites is definitely climbing up the ranks and some social sites that I thought was a great platform previously seem to have reached their plateau.

Affiliate Tip, the blog of Shawn Collins, the founder of Affiliate Summit is a blog that I think every affiliate should follow. Apart from affiliate marketing tips, you can get yourself updated with the latest happening in the industry as well.Just my opinion anyway, Sphinning it for letting me know about Social Media Trader and Chris Brogan. Thanks.

A great list and will definitely become a master list for those who are doing business consultation. Businesses sometimes realize that there is a need to join the blogging media. However, they don’t know what to post on their blogs. I guess this long list will be able to help them out.

Think that making money selling websites on eBay is easy? Think about it again. The 27 points in this post will help you to make it but at the same time, it will show you that site flipping is not as easy as it is if you want to become successful.

Some of those are humorous and this post definitely made my day. Would not want any of those to happen to me for now and in the future.

As an affiliate, I would hate to see things like this happen. On the other hand, I think authority affiliates should come up with an alliance such as the Performance Marketing Alliance and make it a powerful voice in the industry as soon as possible.
