So I’m a sphinn newbie, but I’ll agree with the "problem" mentioned. As I try to learn more about search, I stop by every few days, and the front page DOES have the same 5 stories on it (literally as well as categorically).I’m just learning about the site, but isn’t there a little "Desphinn" option? If you’re sick of reading "how to generate new RSS subscribers" for the Nth time, desphinn it. Better yet, desphinn it AND sphinn something different elsewhere in the blogosphere. If the majority of the people on this site don’t like the content being shown, then why are we still seeing it? Because we’re not doing anything to introduce new content, and promote what we WANT here. Ok, back to lurking..

I’d be interested to know if the "absolutely free" helped, as well.. people love to think they’re getting something special!

Great article - although the use of RT istead of retweeting isn’t a big shock. Those 140 characters are precious!

I think this controversy is really interesting. The guy DOES know how to play the game. Sure, he’s obviously not making many friends here (ah, the irony, since one of his claims to fame is being "top 500 on facebook), but he IS promoting himself.

Interesting article that raised many thoughts in my mind. When I read "evolutionary" I think about survival of the fittest and the necessity of evolving. Yet reading the article, I’m not so sure...
