Having had a numbr of issues with various web hosts over the years I think having your blog as your home page isn’t a bad idea at all. S*** happens and sites go down.
XSP is a pretty slick site builder and I highly recommend it, having used it for a couple of years. If you want to write your own HTML/CSS etc, then it sucks. If you just want to build sites and don’t want to code, then it rocks. I haven’t looked at version 2, yet, but based on V1 I’m going to buy it very soon.
