Oh hey -- almost forgot -- thanks for the comments and thanks for really reading it. Like Martha Graham said ... "I’d rather have them against me than indifferent."

Mindy - point taken, I do have to say I was a bit shaky about that section of the entire thing -- because I have written and read things that simply by themselves have brought tears to people’s eyes, or laughter in their hearts. Posts on a bulletin board that are nothing BUT words that paint a picture ... I think the choice of words is hugely important, but I am a strong proponent to keep the basket full of other things as well. All in all, it is really a continually shifting paradigm, that is true.Mugambo -- I 100% agree with you that words keep people engaged in the long run. Getting them to look is a kicker. The thing that I didn’t touch on with this -- when it comes to SEO -- words ARE it. "Pretty sites" don’t come up higher in the SERPS, ay? :D I was trying to find the "pretty site" google check box and it just wasn’t there. heh hehWhat prompted me to write this - my son was asking me why everyone is always so worried about what people look like. We had a long discussion about segregation and pre-concieved ideals. The instant judgement that we have, even when we are aware that we are not even close to being qualified to be that judge. It got me thinking, wheels turning and such. Pretty heavy conversation for a 7-year-old, but he held his own. I was mightily impressed with his staunch stand. My baby, not so much of a baby these days.

The most frustrating thing, I think is when you are working with someone who has been burned by one of these shady providers ... getting over the trust hump means you constantly have to prove yourself. Eventually you overcome it, but the extra time it takes to reassure, reassure, reassure is time that could be better spent on service. .... I suppose that is part of true service, but you know what I mean ...

Thanks for the Sphinn. How easy it is to diagnose the issue, yet a different kind of ballgame to fix, ay?

It’s all about character man, it’s all about character. Marketers could all be seen this way - halfdeck you make a good point. Unfortunately there are a lot of shady SEOs -- like salesmen, politicians, PR professionals, marketers, advertisers, the list goes on. There are some threads we all share. Some people dip those threads in vinegar, others in honey, but baby they are all from the same spool. Unfortunately, we all reap the "benefits" of those who bend the rules (Ridiculous, SEO off-topic posts and links in forums can make anyone a bit hostile.), but I know over time, solid character and good choices will weave a much stronger piece of fabric. It’s better than Bounty.
