No problem! With a post this good, its a pleasure. You reminded me of my experience with Mr. Clean Erasers, this cleaning sponge you can use around the house. I had seen commercials, and they looked cool but I hadnt bought them. Then I went to my sisters house for Thanksgiving and she took me around the kitchen and showed me how they took away all those little smudges you can never get off your appliances. I was sold! I went out the next day and bought some :)
As a mom of two, her "colic-y baby" example really hit home. Actually, like many parents, Im more picky about what I buy for my kids than myself, and a personal testimony works wonders. I do already have a blog for my business, but I appreciate the reminder to keep empathy at the forefront of my blog posts. I tend to lecture a bit :)
@drpete - youd be very surprised how many of us introverts pretend to be extroverts when put in a social situation. It takes a lot of effort, but we fool almost everyone :)
I have only one comment, from a usability perspective. Yes, obviously SEOConsultants.com is catchier than seoconsultants.com. However, many users dont realize that URLs arent case sensitive. So, when they go to type in the URL, as some might do, they might feel that they have to get the caps right. No matter how memorable the name, its hard for people to remember what letters to capitalize in a URL because thats not how we usually use them.Obviously, many people will simply do a Google search for "seoconsultants", others will click directly on a link, but some will type it into their browser bar and possibly stumble over the capitals, thinking that they do need to get them right.
I absolutely agree - there used to be an awful image* that came up if you Googled "mittens". I emailed the Google team about it repeatedly. It was up for months before it was removed. *I wont say exactly what it was, but it had nothing to do with mittens :)
